Notable Changes from the Previous Year
After undergoing a redesign in 2022, the new models have had a few improvements made. The most notable is the introduction of a hybrid engine in the N Line trim. Also, a 10.25-inch touchscreen display is now standard across all models, and the added haptic feedback on the steering wheel enhances safety.
Infotainment and Technology Features
The standard 10.25-inch touchscreen display hosts the infotainment system. It gives you access to the navigation system, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and Bluetooth. You can also add a 10.25-inch digital gauge display, Bose premium sound system and a wireless charging pad.
Exterior Design
Using converging character lines, Hyundai created a bold and unique three-dimensional exterior. LED headlights flank the massive grille with a brand’s logo on the front fascia. The back features triangular LED tail lights and a wrap-around LED light strip. You can choose between 17-inch and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Interior Comfort and Cargo Space
A modern dashboard with a digital gauge display introduces the sporty design of this SUV. Available features include ventilated front seats, interior ambient lighting, and a heated steering wheel. The Tucson offers an ample 1,097 litres of cargo space, which grows to 2,108 litres with the back seats folded down.
Engine and Performance Features
The base model is powered by a Smartstream 2.5-litre GDI + MPI engine, which provides 187 hp and 178 ft-lb of torque, along with a fuel economy of 10/7.9 L / 100km for city/highway driving, respectively. You can also opt for the Smartstream 1.6-litre Turbo GDI plug-in hybrid engine, which offers 226 horsepower and 258 ft-lb of torque.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Hyundai’s Smart Sense suite is built with various features to keep you safe. Smart cruise control pairs with a lane-following assist to keep the vehicle within the lines. Optional features include blind spot collision avoidance, safe exit warning, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance.
