The Biggest Upgrades From the Previous Year
The Hyundai Elantra 2023 brings quite a few updates. Also, some options from last year’s lineup are back now as standard features. The new SEL Convenience package includes a 10.25-inch display and 17-inch alloy wheels. The 2023 lineup comes without the Elantra GT trim.
Interior Layout and Options
All trims have plenty of space for all passengers. There’s cloth upholstery as standard for all models. It’s also possible to choose Sport Seats with leather surfaces. Heated front seats and air conditioning are also standard features across the lineup. The driver’s seat has six lumbar adjustments, while the front passenger seat has four. Trims from the Luxury and above also have foldable back seats, which extend its cargo capacity.
Exterior Layout and Options
All trims have the same dimensions, although the exterior design changes a little from one another. The entry-level trim comes with 15-inch alloy wheels. The wheel size increases across the lineup, reaching 18 inches in the flagship model.
The Tech Package, available for the Preferred model and upper trims, also has ambient interior lighting, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a power sunroof, and a defogging windshield.
All trims have automatic headlights, but only the upper models have LED headlights and tailgate lights. The N Line Ultimate trim has some exclusive external features, like N Line rear and front fascias and a glossy black rear lip spoiler.
Technology, Infotainment, and Connectivity
There’s an 8.0-inch touchscreen display available for all trims, which is upgradable from the Preferred model to a 10.25-inch touchscreen display, in the Tech Package. This package also includes SiriusXM Satellite Radio, a Bluelink-connected vehicle system, and a six-speaker sound system. There’s a Bose sound system available for the Luxury and the N Line Ultimate trims. All models have mobile compatibility, working with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The new 2023 Hyundai Elantra is a very safe vehicle, and the entry-level feature comes with a wide range of safety features. Those include airbags, forward collision with pedestrian detection, lane departure and keeping assists, driver attention warning, rear occupant alert, tire pressure monitoring, and a rearview camera with guidelines.
Upper trims have more options, like blind-spot monitoring, safety exit warning, and highway driving assist. The Luxury trim has pedestrian, cyclist and junction-turning detection in its forward collision assist system.
